I am a Songbird

I am a songbird that can no longer
full-throated sing.

Humming away at melodies that
lasting memories bring,

Along long drives from Pune to Panchgani and many,
a shrine around.

As life goes by further ahead to peace
& surrender we are bound,

Now having lived happily with dear Jaishri, Bhavya, Manu,
Darwin & Eskimo.

We express our gratitude to Swami Samarth
& other Gurus for giving us so much
& more.

The Lord gave us the very best
to overcome hurdles & pass every test.

This is thus my story of a Cuckoo
who flew over and found safe refuge
in Jaishri’s beautiful & cuddly nest.
